Yeeeyyyy Castle Combe, finally!!!
I've wanted to visit this little village for years, but it's been difficult for me to reach it until now because I don't own a car here in London.

Eventually, with some friends, we rented a car to spend the Easter weekend in Cornwall: it was the perfect chance to visit Castle Combe!

I don't know how to classify this place: is it a village...a hamlet...or a street? Anyway, it's in Wiltshire County, driving two hours towards west from London.

The only cemented section is the street crossing this village; the rest is made out of stones, gravel, and pebbles.
Houses are Cotswold style, dated back from centuries ago, and built with nothing but stones (walls and roofs too).

Castle Combe has played as the set of several movies, like Steven Spielberg's War Horse.

At lunchtime you can have a break at the only pub in the village, the White Hart, or at the lovely tea room.
But honestly, there's nothing better than sitting on the small bridge crossing the creek with a lunch box full of food at your disposal! If you're lucky enough to be there on a sunny day you'll get a wonderful experience! 😊

Castle Combe has been called "the prettiest village in England", and I totally agree!
The time there seems to have stopped centuries ago 😍
